1. General

These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Florahome Movers (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) to our clients (referred to as “you” or “your”). By hiring our moving or storage services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with these terms, you should not proceed with booking our services.

2. Services Provided

Florahome Movers offers the following services:

  • Local moving
  • Long-distance moving
  • Residential and commercial moving
  • Packing and unpacking
  • Moving and storage
  • Furniture disassembly and reassembly
  • Secure storage solutions (short-term and long-term)

Details of these services, including pricing, availability, and specific requirements, will be provided to you before booking.

3. Service Agreement

Once you request our moving or storage services, we will provide you with a written estimate, including the cost of services. This estimate will be valid for a specified period. When you agree to our services, a binding contract is formed between you and Florahome Movers. Any changes to the scope of services after the agreement is signed may result in additional charges.

4. Booking and Payments

  • Booking: To secure a moving date, you must make a reservation with Florahome Movers. All bookings are subject to availability.
  • Deposits: A deposit may be required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation. The deposit amount will be applied to the total cost of your move.
  • Payment Terms: Payment is due in full upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed. We accept various payment methods, including cash, credit cards, and checks.
  • Cancellations and Rescheduling: If you wish to cancel or reschedule your move, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. A cancellation fee may apply depending on the timing of the notice.

5. Pricing

The price of your move or storage services will be provided in advance based on the details you provide, such as the size of your move, the distance, the services required, and any additional fees (e.g., for special handling, long-distance moves, or additional storage). Prices are subject to change if the scope of services changes after booking.

6. Moving Day

  • Arrival Time: The arrival time will be estimated based on the details provided during the booking process. While we aim to arrive on time, delays due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen circumstances may occur.
  • Client Responsibility: You must ensure that your belongings are packed and ready for the move by the agreed-upon time. Any delays caused by unpreparedness may result in additional charges.
  • Access to Property: You are responsible for ensuring that our movers have clear access to both your current and new properties. This includes ensuring that parking is available and that any obstacles (e.g., narrow doorways, stairs, or long distances between the truck and your home) are accounted for.
  • Inventory: We may require an inventory of the items to be moved before the move day. Any additional items added on the day of the move may incur extra charges.

7. Insurance and Liability

  • Damage to Property: Florahome Movers is committed to handling your items with the utmost care. However, in the event of damage or loss, our liability is limited according to the terms of our service agreement and the insurance options selected.
  • Insurance: We offer basic liability coverage, which covers a limited amount per pound for damaged goods. You may purchase additional insurance for full coverage at an extra cost. It is your responsibility to inform us of any special items that require extra care (e.g., artwork, antiques, electronics).
  • Excluded Items: We are not responsible for any damages to items that are improperly packed, fragile, or have pre-existing damage. Additionally, we are not responsible for hazardous materials, pets, plants, or perishable goods.

8. Storage Terms

If you utilize our storage services, the following conditions apply:

  • Storage Access: You may access your items during regular business hours or by appointment, as outlined in your storage agreement.
  • Storage Fees: Storage fees are due monthly, with a payment schedule determined at the time of booking.
  • Late Payments: A late fee may be charged if storage fees are not paid by the due date. Items in storage may be subject to removal if payment is not received after a specified period.

9. Customer Responsibilities

  • Packing: While we offer packing services, it is your responsibility to ensure that all items are properly packed if you choose to pack them yourself. We are not responsible for any damages caused by inadequate packing.
  • Special Items: You must inform us about any special items (such as large furniture, appliances, fragile items, or high-value goods) before the move so that we can provide appropriate handling.
  • Restricted Items: You must not request the transportation of illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items. Florahome Movers reserves the right to refuse to move such items.

10. Limitations of Liability

Florahome Movers will not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for damages or losses is limited to the lesser of the actual cost of the move or the coverage provided by our insurance.

11. Force Majeure

Florahome Movers shall not be held responsible for delays or failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, civil unrest, or severe weather conditions.

12. Privacy and Data Protection

Florahome Movers is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and store your personal information solely for the purpose of providing moving and storage services. We will not share your information with third parties unless required by law or necessary to complete your move (e.g., for insurance purposes).

13. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Florahome Movers reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website, and you will be notified if the changes significantly affect the terms of your agreement.

14. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the state of Florida. Any disputes arising from these terms will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in Florahome, FL.
